Nigel Petrie is Engineered to Slide, after finishing High School he spent 4 years completing an Advanced Diploma in Engineering whilst working full time as a Prototype Fitter Machinist in Ford Motor Company’s Geelong Research and Development plant. Here Nigel spent 18 years closely working with Engineers to create prototype vehicles.

After hours is where things got interesting, Nigel’s love for drifting saw him compete nationally all the while modifying his car and sharing his success’s on this very blog.

Things really picked up momentum when Nigel took on a complete spaceframe drift Hilux build in his very own garage, this was the fitst of its kind and it captured peoples imagination with every detail being explained here on these pages.

The natural progression led Nigel to develop the Fabrication Courses you see on these pages, he didn’t have resources like this when he was satrting out and his hope is that the next generation will be able to use these to build their dreams faster.

At EngineeredToSlide.com, we believe anyone with an idea and the willingness to succeed can build the car, motorbike, or practically anything of their dreams within the confines of their own garage.

We are a community of people from all walks of life who have one common goal – to turn our dreams into reality.

Whether you’re beginning your journey or you’re a seasoned professional, we aim to provide you with the knowledge and resources required to turn your dreams into reality.

So whatever your dream may be, we hope that our website can act as a source of inspiration and help you along your way.
