Black 180SX 2003 to 2008

It all began right here with my black 180SX, in 2004 drifting came to Australia with the very first “Drift Nationals” competition held at Calder Park Victoria, I went on to win the privateer competition and the car became a staple of Australian drifting from that point on.

I experimented heavily with this car and did all the work myself in my own garage, in 2006 it began to feel as though the car was too modified and trying to drive around fundamental problems in suspension design led to a few accidents that ultimately led to this cars demise. I decided to pull the car apart, scrap the shell and use the running gear for another chassis.

2003 to 2006 really was the birth of Drifting in Australia, events like Powercruise had not see it before and I went around the country doing demonstrations and winning awards for the wild driving, to me it was just drifting but to people who had not seen it before it was the wildest thing on 4 wheels.
